Bianca Lee is a Toronto-based sound therapist, artist, educator and DJ.
Bianca Lee Mondino (artist name: Bianca Lee) is a certified sound therapy practitioner, multidisciplinary artist, educator, and DJ. She specializes in using sound as a functional tool to ease anxiety, reduce overstimulation, and support travel-related stress.
With a deep belief in the power of sound to soothe the nervous system and reconnect us to ourselves, Bianca creates immersive soundscapes, workshops, and installations that blend therapeutic intention with artistic expression. She also leads independent research and social sound experiments exploring how music influences emotional states, connection, and the listening experience — most recently studying travel anxiety, posture-based listening and music’s role in fostering connection.
With Italian roots, Bianca was exposed to classical music at an early age. Witnessing a live symphony performance sparked a lifelong love for evocative and transformative sound experiences — a thread that continues through her current work. Inspired by artists like Jon Hopkins, Brian Eno, Fred Again.., The Wong Janice, and Max Cooper, she creates ambient, meditative music that guides listeners on an emotional journey.
Bianca’s sound wellness practice is grounded in science-backed techniques and trauma-informed facilitation. Whether calming a plane full of anxious travellers, creating a restorative pause in a busy workplace, or curating a public installation, her mission is to make the benefits of sound therapy both accessible and artistically inspiring.
Her own journey with debilitating anxiety profoundly informs her work — and inspired her bold transition from an award-winning career in corporate banking to a life dedicated to music and wellness.
With over nine years of experience in the music and wellness industries, Bianca has collaborated with prestigious clients such as Disney, Marvel Studios, YouTube, Holt Renfrew, Bumble, Elevate Tech Fest, the Toronto International Film Festival, and Pitbull’s Globalization. Her unique blend of skills has also led to speaking engagements with influential organizations like TEDxYouth, Fuckup Nights Hamilton, and Women of Influence.
In 2024, Bianca was featured on Cityline TV and introduced the first-ever immersive sound bath installation at The Royal Ontario Museum.
Bianca is also a guest lecturer at the University of Toronto’s School of Continuing Studies, where she shares her knowledge on the therapeutic uses of sound.
Outside of her work, she enjoys spending time with her fur children Nigella and Irie (her sweet and sassy lionhead rabbits), playing piano, catching the sunrise, hiking and spending time with family and friends.
